Inventory Management System - desktop based
Note:I wrote this as a test project to practice DBMS/Java/Hibernate/Swing during my early days of programming (2011-2012).
This uses following libraries/frameworks
- Swing
- JGoodies Swing Extension Library
- Hibernate
- H2 Database
- Jasper Reports
How to run the application
- Clone/Download the project and import into your IDE
- Run com.ca.ui.Main as Java Application
- Enter ADMIN/ADMIN for username and password
Configuration and Data
- Use 'Entry' -> 'Initial Records' menu to enter configuration such as product category, vendor, measurement unit, branch office etc
- Start with 'Item Entry' tab to enter inventory items and do Stock Query, Transfer or Sell, Handle Returns of Items, View Leger etc
You can use this project as a template to build out your projects! I believe the code is simple enough to understand the overall flow and add/modify modules.

About this system
An Inventory Control System is an integrated package of software and hardware used in warehouse operation, and elsewhere, to monitor the quantity, location and status of inventory as well as the related shipping, receiving, picking and put away process. In common usage, the term may also refer to just the software components. The system will keep a log of the spares available and also be intelligent enough which spares have been taken from which supplier and in which quantity plus the amount of spares being sold to individual customer under what requirement. It will also indicate how many spares will be available for individual sectors and what should be the buying price so that we have a selling profit . Inventory Control System also include system to sell products and create bill. It include java source code, ODBC, MySQL .
